Well, Robby turned 2 on Saturday and it was such a lovely event. Most of the family was here and it was nice for all of us to be together. It's hard to believe that my baby is 2 already. It won't be long and he'll be going to school. Our company picnic fell on his birthday this year and it was an extra treat to get together with friends and share his day as well. He was afraid of the candles although I don't know why. He walks around the house trying to blow out my candles constantly. He actually succeeded in doing so this afternoon.

 

Class is kicking my butt lately. I don't have as much as I'd like to keep up with the reading. I recently got a promotion at work so I'm very busy there these days as well.

Well, we've had quite a bit of rain here since yesterday. I think so far we've gotten about 18 inches of rain. Yep, I said 18 inches. It's been fun around here. Many of the main roads have been closed and you can forget about the back roads. It's been raining here all day and we've got more storms coming our way. Things have been intersting here. Many people have lost power and phone service and some had to be resuced from their homes.

 

There is a house in Williamsburg that is almost completely under water. All you can see is the roof. The 24 hour Wal-Mart has been closed because of the flood. There are cars in the parking lot that were floating and bumping into one another. There wasn't that much rain durin Hurricane Floyd 7 years ago. The scanner has been going crazy with all the calls for help. The county is under a state of emergency and has been since yesterday and no one knows when it will be lifted.

 

It started raining again last night. It rained until about 2:00 this afternoon. We had torrential down pours off and on all day. The drive to work was slow and treacherous. The roads were flooding as fast as it was raining. According to the weather, the rain isn't going to stop until about Thursday afternoon. The farms around here are going to be ruined because of all the rain and the wind.

Well, we moved Robby to a toddler bed over the weekend and we were in for a surprise on Sunday morning. Over night he had completely emptied the entire contents of his dresser in the middle of his floor. He even took the drawer out of the dresser! Since Sunday he seems to like sleeping under the bed. Blanket and pillow and he's under the bed. Tonight he got into the baby shampoo and had it everywhere. He finally found a way to keep his hair down though.

 

The baby sitter has been calling me just about every day because one of the kids or both have been misbehaving. Sometimes my kids are so frustrating but they more than make up for those times when they hug me, kiss me, or tell me they love me. At the end of the day, they're not that bad. They're just being boys. This is time I'll never have again and I'm trying to enjoy every minute of it. It won't be long before they're grown and won't want anything to do with me.

Well, summer is finally here and little Randy is out of school, which means my day care rate doubled. Work is great! I'm out of school until August 28 and so far I'm enjoying my extra time. I have a feeling I'm going to get bored before August but I'm going to try to use the extra time to catch up on some reading.

 

We're trying to plan a mini vacation this year; something for a weekend. That's difficult because no one knows where we want to go or what we want to do. Well, I guess its time to go because Mocha is in my lap. I'll write again soon.

Well, I've added a few photos now. Mocha is my baby girl. She's an eight month old pomeranian and she's an awesome dog. In his picture, Robby is a year and a half. He'll be 2 in September and he's all boy. I'll try to post more this weekend if I have time. School is keeping me very busy and it's finals time right now. First of all, I want to wish my girl Megan all the best in college. Better late than never huh girl? Things have been terribly hectic here since Thanksgiving. I found out that my mom was diagnosed with skin cancer due to the radiation treatments she received while recovering from breast cancer. Not long after that, my grandfather was diagnosed with lung cancer and had it removed. While he was in the hospital, he suffered two heart attacks which delayed his recovery quite a bit. As of right now, things are looking up for everyone.

 

School has been stressful because of my math classes. I loathe math and it makes me crazy to have to work on polynomials. I haven't used this stuff since I learned it in high school and I just don't see the point of learning it again.

 

Things on the homefront have also been hectic with the boys. It's so hard dividing my time between them and, inevitably, someone is always unsatisfied.

I will try to post some pictures soon. I just have to remember them..lol!
